Capturing the delicate engineering of underwater landscapes.
"Biotope" is a specialized boutique where aquariums are not just tanks, but hand-crafted ecosystems designed by a single artisan. My goal was to translate his meticulous aquascaping skills into static imagery.
The Technique: To maintain the authentic atmosphere of the shop, I relied exclusively on the custom LED lighting installed within each tank. Using a Canon 90D and a 50mm prime lens, I isolated the vibrant colors of the fish against deep black backgrounds, turning each subject into a jewel-like focal point.
Pure Optics: No AI or digital manipulation was used. Unlike other sections of this portfolio, these images rely entirely on optical physics to create a high-fidelity representation of the livestock and the hand-made environments they inhabit.
